Kathleen Marie "Maurie" Dombrowski, devoted wife, beloved mother, and loving grandmother passed away peacefully due to complications from Parkinson’s disease and joined her husband in heaven on February 1, 2017.

Maurie was born in Dublin, Ireland on September 4, 1934, and came to this country seeking adventure. She met the love of her life, Hank Dombrowski, and they married on April 25, 1959. Stationed across the U.S., they lived a Navy life and landed in Virginia Beach to raise their family.

She is survived by her daughters Maureen Armstrong (Tim), Ann Hazlett (Ned), and Amy Walls (Mike); her grandchildren Richard and Mark Armstrong, Caroline and Konstantin Hazlett, and Maddie and Brenna Walls; brother Pat Saunders of Dublin, Ireland; sister-in-law Dorothy Tardiff; brother-in-law John Reilly; nephews Kevin Reilly, Garrett Saunders, and Kieron Saunders; and niece Kerry Clark.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Hope For Life Rescue, Inc. located at 610 Jack Rabbit Road, Suite #1, Virginia Beach, Virginia, 23451.
