John Lee Ogle Jr. CONCORD - Retired U.S. Navy Capt. John Lee Ogle Jr., 65, of Plum Branch Road, Concord, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, in Sentara Virginia Baptist Hospital. Born in Phoenix, Ariz., on Oct. 19, 1944, he was a son of the late Gertrude Elizabeth Deter Ogle and John L. Ogle Sr. He was a pilot in the U.S. Navy serving from the Vietnam era until his retirement during the Persian Gulf era. John received his B.A. in political science from St.
Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, N.C. He is survived by his two sons, John L. Ogle III of Gansevoort, N.Y., and Thomas M. Ogle of Chesapeake; a brother, David Ogle, M.D., of Gresham, Ore.; two sisters, Margaret Rowe of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Ellen Grover of Lancaster, Va.; the mother of his children, Cam Ogle of Knoxville, Tenn.; and lifelong friend, Jim Henderson and family.
